The union was established based on Law No. 47 of 1969 establishing a union Among its clauses: Syndicate purposes Article 1 - The Syndicate seeks to achieve its following objectives: First - Upgrading the profession, preserving its dignity, raising the scientific and professional level of pharmacists, and linking scientific and pharmaceutical research with production. Second - Contributing to providing medicine to the people, improving drug service and production, and reducing its costs. Third - Participate in studying the development plan, pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical projects, and contribute to the development of pharmacy education and training programs, and inventory the scientific competencies and experiences of pharmacists. Fourth - Mobilizing the strengths of the union’s members, organizing their efforts to achieve national goals and the goals of economic development, confronting the problems of socialist implementation, developing appropriate solutions to them, supporting the Arab Pharmacists ’Union, studying issues between Arab, African and Asian countries, exchanging information and pharmacy expertise. Fifthly - Facilitating therapeutic and social services for pharmacists, creating material and moral conditions, and developing a spirit of cooperation between members and between them and among the people. Article - 2 The Council of the Bar shall form committees whose members shall be chosen from among pharmacists, to carry out their activities in order to achieve the mentioned goals.
